How to provide STAFF access into your POS and Admin Portal

Learn how to give staff access to the POS and to Admin Portal, according to their roles via BOSS IT admin portal

In this short article, you will learn how to give staff access to the POS and the Admin portal according to their roles via the BOSS IT back end account: 

Step 1: Login via your Admin Portal:  https://admin.gobossit.com/login  > Click on the Staff tab > Hit "add staff member" at the right upper corner: 

Step 2: You will now add your staff's details: name, email, and phone number, following the format below.

Select their roles from the drop-down menu, which will provide them access to the POS, and hit the "create" button at the upper right corner.

The different roles in the dropdown include staff, Manager, owner, and Driver.
Each role includes a set of permissions that you, as the account owner, can define for your staff:

If you’re only providing access to the POS, you should select STAFF as a role. Each member will receive a text message with their personal pin code, which will allow them to use the POS at any time.

The login to access your POS will require: 

  • Phone number: 3538xxx ( follow this format) 
  • Pin: Personal pin code ( received via text message) 

Now your STAFF can start managing the POS, adding orders, and using the clock in/clock out features.

If you’re using the scheduling system, they can use this access to also clock in and out, and use the break-in and out features too, and all that information can be checked back at the Staff tab in your Admin Portal.
